Take a walk on the wild side.
Supernatural is the trial portfolio from Ghost Rock duo Justin Arnold & Alicia Peardon.
Creativity and deliciousness rule the roost within this portfolio, bound to one rule only; high quality, estate-grown fruit as the source component. The rest is in the imagination and the craft. The range follows a ‘LoFi’ mantra of being wild ferment driven and exclusively unfined/unfiltered/low SO2.
Small batches. One-off productions. Things that make you think. Things that make you go ‘wow’.
A field blend of Chardonnay (40%), Riesling (23%), Sauvy B (23%) and Pinot Noir (14%).
A lively palate of texture and spice. Vibrant acidity provides the liveliness and freshness Tasmania is renowned for.
Left in its purest, most unadultered form, it's a wine of character and length. A wine of passion and place. no fining, no filtration, low SO2.
A benchmark $34 Tassie Pinot.
100% Pinot Noir. 100% White. 100% Woow.
A sort of reverse of an orange wine (white grapes fermented on skins like red wine), this is a white wine made from red grapes taken off their skins immediately and fermented as clean juice.
82% Gewurtztraminer, 12% Gris, 100% Psycho.
A wonderfully textured palate with elegant acidity & exotic spice on the nose. skinsy, but subtle and not overdone. spice lingers on aftertaste.
Pinot Gris + Gewurtztraminer co-fermented on skins, to create a textured, layered, giving wine.
But more importantly, what is a Cellar Rat?
Bright, juicy, chewy & fun.
A red wine for the fridge, it's a blend of Pinot Noir/Pinot Gris co-fermentation, skin contact Guwertz & Chardonnay
Matured in aged oak. Unfined/unfiltered.
Another super exciting and out of the box inaugural release is the 2021 Sacrifice Piquette. It's a wine drink, but not as you know it.
