What would a vineyard be without a dog or two? Not quite complete we don't think. A dog is there to keep you company through both the good and the not so good times, a trusted companion by your side no matter what.

Those long and cold winter days of pruning are made so much more bearable with a dog by your side, and as you walk the long vineyard rows during the growing season your trusted companion is just a few steps in front of you.

Our two golden retrievers are a common sight around the vineyard and cellar door. Miss Pebbles, aged 7, is the original Ghost Rock Vineyard dog and she has been featured in the Wine Dogs book (see photo). Her accomplice, young Oscar, is 3 years of age and is happy to play second fiddle to Pebbles (he quickly learnt the art of letting her think she's boss!) He is a highly intelligent dog and continues to amaze us with his perceptions.

They can both be found either greeting guests at the cellar door, or helping out in the vineyard. They have even been interviewed by ABC Radio!
