Our Team
The Ghost Rock team are only too willing to share with you their passion and knowledge of Ghost Rock's table and sparkling wines and even guide you through the wine making process.
Cate Arnold
One part of the force behind the enterprise, Cate handles cellar door and vineyard administration, as well as helping out with wine tastings and hosting cellar door functions. She also works in the vineyard and expansive gardens surrounding the property.
Cate would like to see the vineyard build on its brand, and continue to develop. The third stage of vineyard expansion began in Autumn 2011 on the Bonadale block, and was completed in 2012.
Colin Arnold
The other part of the force behind the enterprise, Colin has joined Cate in their quest to develop the vineyard and surrounding gardens, and to continue to produce premium quality grapes.
Colin manages the Clairedown, Oulton and Bonadale vineyards, and will be overseeing the final development stage of the new Bonadale vineyard site. Colin's dedicated attention to detail and strong work ethic has seen Ghost Rock grow from strength to strength and consolidate it's niche in the marketplace.
Cass Downes
Cass has been with Ghost Rock for almost 4 years and manages the day to day running of cellar door. Her duties include overseeing our wine club, coordinating staff and liaising with our wholesale customers. In addition she keeps all our Ghost Rock friends up to date on Facebook and Twitter. Cass looks forward to welcoming you to Ghost Rock soon.
Laura Dixon
Laura has rejoined the Ghost Rock team after a 2 year break living and working on the mainland. Originally from Cambridge in the UK, she moved to Tasmania 6 years ago and having been away for a time says she appreciates all the more what a beautiful part of the world we live in. Laura is working in administraton on a part-time basis, and is Mum to the newly arrived baby Samuel.
Laura co-ordinates events and special projects and is an integral part of our management team.
Team Ghost Rock
The successful operation of Ghost Rock relies on the hard work and dedication of all our casual staff members both in cellar door and out in the vineyard.
Angela Smith has been with us since our inception and works tirelessly in the vineyard over the growing season. She can be found out in the vineyard in the dead of winter, pruning in some of the coldest, wildest weather you can imagine!
Lou Cochrane joined us this year and has been working in the vineyard under the careful guidance of Angela as is now working inside the cellar door as well.
Geoff Mackenzie and Izaak Perkins have also been working in the vineyard, whilst inside at Cellar Door our crew of Bec Rapley, Gail Sifford, and Ella Coates have been keeping the customers satisfied!
