FOR THE LOVE OF FOOD AND WINE
We love sharing our knowledge of food and wine and our passion for Tasmanian produce with friends. Join one of our food and wine workshops, a cooking class or special event to emerse yourself in some of the best kept secrets of Tasmania.
We know how lucky we are to enjoy the beauty and bounty from our natural environment around us, so we created Hundred Acres, to share these good fortunes with others.
We are a destination for food and wine lovers, that highlights the local artisan food producers of Northern Tasmania and our cool climate premium wines.
Hundred Acres is a place for locals and visitors alike to come and participate in special events around local food and wine.
We have created a strong network of local and artisan food producers that we work with - farmers, organic gardeners, butchers, cheese makers, bakers, beekeepers - both to support small, local businesses as well as to give our clients the chance to see (and taste!) the best that Northern Tasmania has to offer. Our participants come from all over the world and participate in our workshops and events to learn more about the journey from soil to bottle/paddock to plate, as well as experience the region through discovering our exceptional food and wine.
We conduct cooking classes with menu’s inspired by what’s in season, in abundance and quintessential to the region, featuring special guest chefs.
We host food and wine workshops where participants follow the journey from soil to bottle and paddock to plate, learning where food and wine comes from, how it’s produced, and how to pair them together to create something special. It’s a hands-on experience, whereby consumers visit farm-gates, meet the producers, get involved in winery tasks of the day, learn how to prepare and cook local Tasmanian seasonal produce from scratch.
We host Chef's Table Dinner's inviting Special Guest Chef's from around the country, putting their spin on a menu, featuring local artisan Tasmanian produce, matched to our Ghost Rock Wines.
At Hundred Acres, we cater to cooking aficionados, wine enthusiasts and those who simply enjoy good food, good wine, and good fun.
